Day 7: McGregor Lake to West Glacier

Our view in the morning.

HAPPY (LATE) JULY 4TH!!!

Today was a great day of riding. It was a short one, but for a reason.

Tomorrow is the day of Glacier and the Going-to-the-Sun Rd!!

We wanted all of our energy for that day, for we heard the legends and whispers that it is the most spectacular part of this ride.

We took off and continued on the 2 to Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and finally West Glacier.

But we had a lot of fun along the way.

It's really hard not to have fun when the big guys are acting like their college days again.

Stopping for quick breaks, busting out some Bruce Springsteen, partying.

Even biking long distances it's totally possible to celebrate the 4th.

TODAY WE CELEBRATE OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Steve was the most patriotic.

We made it to West Glacier by 3:00pm and had a cabin for the night. So it was a team night, which seemed like that's how it should have been given what the day next would be.

We were less than a mile from our start into Glacier.

The ride was gorgeous. This side of the Rockies in Montana never really lacks a view.

Being able to experience it is the best.

Experience? How?

Well when you're in a car you are looking out a window.

It's basically watching the glorified nature channel on TV.

On a bike (or motorcycle) you get to experience all that is around you.

All of your senses get engaged and everything is enhanced.

Also, it helps when your legs start burning that you have something gorgeous to distract you.

For the day in Glacier there will be a change.

Everyone will write their own day and I will post it.

Need a little variety in case you are all sick of listening(?) to me :)
